“Today” show at it again…

Following their disgustingly ill researched piece on homebirth…I perused the “Today” show’s parenting section and came across this clip.

It is incredibly short…I wonder why?

Because if it was any longer they would actually have to justify this claim with evidence.

See how they also leave the REALITY of the piece until right at the end when the reporter states (paraphrase) “…or couch, and especially if the parents had been drinking or using drugs”.

NO? REALLY? So the co-sleeping child is more likely to die of SIDS if the parent is drugged up…incredible. Note that this report also includes instances of UNSAFE co-sleeping habits such as not sleeping in an appropriate bed ie. a couch/makeshift beds etc.

The REAL statistics are quite clear in favor of co-sleeping. Just as the statistics are quite clear in favor of homebirth. I just find it intolerable that things are edited to make sensationlized news, make the healthcare system God and instigate fear into society.

1984 here we come.
